Headteacher's Welcome
At Bhylls Acre our children’s development and wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. Our staff treat every child as if they were their own and our pastoral care is second to none. As a one-form entry primary school at the heart of the community, we pride ourselves on knowing every child well. Our dedicated team of staff enhance children’s learning by providing a personalised curriculum in which all our children can flourish and reach their full potential.
Our children are exceptionally well-behaved, enthusiastic and happy and I am enormously proud to be their Headteacher. Through our broad and balanced curriculum, we offer our children a wide range of learning opportunities both within the classroom and beyond.
The school grounds offer excellent facilities to enhance the children’s development. Forest School learning helps build children’s independence, confidence and self-esteem and develops a positive attitude towards learning. Our children excel in sports both as part of the curriculum and in the wide range of extra-curricular activities we provide. We offer residential visits to children in both key stage one and two and educational visits further advance the children’s understanding and enjoyment of the curriculum.
We firmly believe that the key to successful learning is by building a strong partnership between home and school. We welcome parents into school to be part of and to support their child’s learning. We have a thriving PTFA and the Governing Board work hard to support all staff and parents.
We pride ourselves on educating the whole child. Our aim is to nurture happy, confident individuals, with a passion for life-long learning, equipped with the self-motivation and courage required to understand and respect our ever changing world.
At Bhylls Acre we have created a safe and secure environment in which all children can thrive and become independent life-long learners.
